Lal Winterman

Whinnie is a lovely, cheeky lad.

His colour is Gold Cream Champagne

◾️Hacking
This is what he has always done, so he’s well experienced, he isn’t bothered about any traffic.

I was told he was pretty ploddy, however I’ve found him to be really striding out & goes off into the lead confidently

I’ve hacked him both alone & in company, he can look at things but it only takes putting leg on to get him past anything.

◾️Schooling
This is something he has never done, he hadn’t been in an arena so he’s currently learning but he has a great attitude & I am finding him to be a quick learner .. and extremely fun!!
I have also been teaching him to start neck reining incase someone did want to go down the western route

▪️Out & About
I’ve taken him to dressage where he scored two very respectable 64%
He did get a bit excited with the new atmosphere, he done a beautiful passage in the car park & warm up & had a few more excitable moments. In the ring he was extremely well behaved, he did settle down & even excitable he just felt fun!

He has also been a couple of places hacking both in open grass spaces & to the beach.
He is amazing to take places, he leads the way & has his ears pricked the whole time. Always listens to his rider

◾️On the Ground
He is cheeky & full of character, the type who likes to play with anything he can.
He does have good ground manners & good to lead, catch etc
I’ve also bathed him numerous times in which he stands very well for
Stood quietly for the dentist

◾️Previously
He was locally bred in Cumbria
He has been in a local home also in Cumbria for the last 3 years. Only sold as his owners just like to have a hack once a week & he needs more work than this to keep him a bit more interested.

Only issue they had was he wasn’t keen on the local llamas 🦙

▪️Home looking for
Ideally he is looking for a home doing lots of hacking/farm rides etc. He will want someone competent because he has his excitable moments. He won’t suit anyone wanting to just ride once a week as he has previously shown this didn’t suit.

He can have novices ride him, but a sole novice rider wouldn’t suit
