Luna

▪️Ridden
Luna has flashy paces & is working away well on the flat. She requires some leg to keep her going but this is improving all the time.

She is showing a brilliant attitude towards work and willing to please.
Has started some basic lateral work.

Currently jumping around 70/80cm, certainly has scope, ability & confidence to jump higher.
Has jumped a single fence of 1m at home.

She is ridden by both adults & children.
She isn’t one to be worried about children playing around whilst she’s ridden or dogs barking etc

▪️Out & about
▫️Been out to a few intro dressage competitions, always fab with the whole atmosphere and come away with scores of 63-68%
▫️Arena XC hire, jumped everything asked of her & worked it out as she went
▫️Camp at Somerford, 3 days away, perfect with EVERYTHING. Happy & content in the stable, 2 XC lessons jumping everything asked. Water, steps, ditches. SJ lesson, farm ride
▫️Beach ride, plodded buckle end reins, walked straight in the sea, cantered/galloped in company, cantered through water, went off alone, took no notice of all the people around

▪️Hacking
Luna is happy to hack both alone & in company. She will go first or last & is just as happy on roads or in open fields.
She isn’t worried about any traffic or farm animals.
She also has my dog running along with us too

She may look at the odd silly thing, but a competent rider would have no issue in asking Luna to walk on by

▪️On the ground
Luna is a very laid back mare, in the stable she loves to sleep.
Stands to be groomed, tacked up, messed on with
No vices
Good with the farrier, vets etc
Good to clip

She has shown to be awkward to lead with new people (plants) however if she knows you’re in charge she isn’t an issue.
She’s not nasty with this, it’s more anxiety of being lead by someone she doesn’t trust is “leader”
She is easily lead to & from the field by a child here!

▪️Type of home
Luna does need a rider who is more “excitable” a laid back rider won’t get much out of her

I’m hoping to find Luna a home where she will be having fun, she enjoys a varied lifestyle.
She enjoys working on the flat, jumping, hacking, going new places

Would make a brilliant PC/Competition pony

She does need a competent rider/handler as she is still young

I’ve only known her to be on livery yards so cannot comment on how she would be on a private yard.
Although she’s happy to be turned out alone (beside others) she prefers company & I wouldn’t sell her to be living alone.

▪️Previously
She was doing lots of hacking both in company & alone in various situations.
She was then sold on to a lovely lady but they were not compatible as too green for the lady.

She was surprise born on a petting zoo in London.
Dam is a Welsh D
She was DNA tested & sires Spanish bred

▪️Up to date with
▫️Dentist - June 2024
▫️Physio - April 2024
▫️Vaccinations - Booster due October 2024
▫️Barefoot - recent trim
▫️Clipped - (half clip) - September 2024

▪️Other info
▫️She had previously had some loading problems, however this has been worked on and she’s walking straight in without a problem!
Travels perfectly
On her own can paw & whinny for the first 5mins. Then quiet the rest of the journey

▫️I now have Luna on a high energy feed and she is now forward going!
My suggestion would be she is off this feed initially in her new home whilst settling in (it’s already a big change) then it’s introduced again gradually when needed
